The eight-hour drama was acquired by NRK for Norway, YLE for Finland, SVT for Sweden, DR for Denmark, and RUV for Iceland ahead of its world premier at the Rome International Film Festival.
A sneak preview of the series, produced by Millstreet Films and commissioned by RTL Netherlands’ OTT service, Videoland, will be presented at Mipcom in Cannes.
The new episodes of the crime series had ten million views on the ARD Mediathek within the first week and a strong start in October on ARD’s linear service with four million viewers and a market share of over 15%.
Only days ahead of Mipcom, Beta picked up the international rights to the Greece drama-series “The Beach,” which is not only dominating prime-time slots, but also streaming figures and daily conversations.
