"Y Smyrffs" will be aired next month on S4C, S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer and consists in of 52 x eleven-minute episodes aimed at children aged 5 to 10.

Produced by Cartoon Saloon and Dog Ears and distributed by Superights Kids & Family, the animated series will premiere in September in the UK and Ireland.

Based on the hit book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and starring Rob Brydon, Jessie Buckley, Domhnall Gleeson and Sophie Okonedo, the film will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One this Christmas.

Additionally, Rainbow’s major new series "Gormiti – The New Era," a high-octane blend of live action and exhilarating CGI effects, recently premiered in the UK on CBBC and iPlayer. 

The title is a Rare TV production for BBC Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer. The series director is Ben Jamieson, the series producer Brittny Heinrich and executive producers are Edward Hart for Rare TV and Mary McKeagney for BBC Northern Ireland.  It was commissioned by Eddie Doyle.
