The service, offering HBO programs and 12 channels, including Warner TV, Eurosport, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network and CNN, and their associated on-demand services, can soon be accessed €9.99 a month.

The founding partners include Channel Nine in Australia, TVNZ, RTL Deutschland, RTL in the Netherlands, TV2 in Denmark, Discovery in Italy, Movistar+ in Spain, DPG in Belgium, TVI-CNN in Portugal, ServusTV in Austria, Ceska TV in Czech Republic, and Hot8 in Israel. 

CNN's long-term plan is to no longer rely on commissioned projects with outside partners. The decision was based primarily on the “ever-increasing cost of commissioning third-party premium content.”

The eight-part CNN Original series will become available to international buyers during this year's Mipcom.

Subscribers will now have access to 800 episodes of current and legacy programming at launch from the Peabody and Primetime Emmy Award-winning CNN Original Series and HLN Original Series library.
