Silverlining Rights is counting on the support of more than 14 international funding partners to coproduce Blink Films’ "My King Charles," a new documentary about King Charles, just in time for his coronation scheduled for later this Spring. "Silverlining’s partnership from discussing our initial idea through to jointly funding the development was instrumental to us getting key contributors on board, pre-sales secured and the programme into production," Dan Chambers, Creative Director Blink Films said. "We are thrilled that audiences around the world will be able to watch our documentary on such a great mix of high profile, streamers and broadcasters.”
The funding partners that have committed to coproducing "My King Charles" are Channel Nine in Australia, TVNZ, RTL Deutschland, RTL in the Netherlands, TV2 in Denmark, Discovery in Italy, Movistar+ in Spain, DPG in Belgium, TVI-CNN in Portugal, ServusTV in Austria, Ceska TV in Czech Republic, and Hot8 in Israel. The feature documentary will also stream on a major US platform.
Created by the producers of the popular "Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview," "My King Charles" provides an unprecedented insight into the new King from his early years in the palace to major revelations on his playboy twenties, to his troubled first marriage, dubious brushes with politics, his role in smoothing recent royal troubles, and the future he now faces. The film includes a host of exclusive, world-first interviews from those who know the King personally, which provide new revelations across his life, including former girlfriends, close school friends, life-long friends and relatives, as well as former members of his private staff. In addition to the interviews, the documentary includes never-before seen and letters, combined with previously unseen photographs.
