Blink Films is producing a new two-part documentary series, "Extraordinary Twins." “‘Extraordinary Twins’ is an emotional journey as two parents weigh up the most difficult decision of their lives, but it’s also an uplifting one as we meet twins and their families who share the same story with different outcomes," Dan Chambers, Executive Producer, and Creative Director, Blink Films said. ”And the series is an eye-opening testament to the brilliant surgeons, without whose skill and incredible commitment, these journeys and stories would be impossible.”

“Extraordinary Twins” was produced by the UK factual indie company for ITV. Produced by Annabelle Marshall and Rachel Coughlan and Dan Chambers serving as Executive Producers, the show is set to be distributed by ITV Studios.

The 2-part 120-minute series tells the story of three-year-old Idaho-born twins, who are joined from the chest down, and their parents Chelsea and Nick, as they face the impossible decision of whether to leave them together or risk putting them through a risky surgery to separate the two girls, which could potentially result in their death.

The family undergoes an emotional journey, leading them to share their experiences with other parents with conjoined twins, to find out how they live their lives, and whether they would prefer to be physically divided as individuals; as well as twins who are now living independent lives after being separated. “Extraordinary Twins” also follows specialist surgeons from London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital, one of the very few teams in the world with the skill to separate the most complex conjoined twins, as they prepare to operate on Turkish born twins, Yigit and Derman, who are joined at the head.
