Struum, the new streaming service from former Disney and Discovery executives, is officially launching to the public. This platform lets viewers access more than 1000 shows and movies from over 50 content providers with one monthly subscription.
SPI/FilmBox has teamed up with Struum, the new breed of streaming service created by senior-level Disney and Discovery executives, and backed by a multi-million-dollar investment from former Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
The strategy to centralize international programming groups across linear and streaming is intended to help produce content such as “A Discovery Of Witches” & “Humans.” Jones will be responsible for finding and developing series worldwide.
The merger will allow WarnerMedia and Discovery to join forces, leap over ViacomCBS, and close the gap with Disney in the increasingly competitive battle for audience demand.
