After only 24 months, Disney+ has attracted more than 1.7 million subscribing households on the fiercely competitive Nordic market, according to new data from Mediavision.
Piracy still poses a problem to the video industry in the Nordics. In fact, according to new figures from Mediavision, the number of pirates in the region has even increased compared to last year.
Mediavision’s analysis of the first quarter of 2022 shows that paid video streaming services have now reached maturity, following a decade of consistent growth.
According to a survey conducted by Mediavision in the Nordic countries, 73% of the respondents believe that one or several actors could challenge Netflix’s leadership in the market before 2025.
