Viaplay announced that the latest feature film in its ongoing investment in Nordic storytelling is “There’s Something Going On,” an ambitious Swedish drama that explores universal themes of love, angst and the search for oneself.

The romantic drama series has now been acquired by Viaplay in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Netherlands, CBC in Canada for its streaming service, CBC Gem, Acorn TV in the UK, Spain, Portugal and India, Hot in Israel, yes-DBS in Israel and Pickbox in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bulgaria.

Viaplay is set to garner a market presence in at least 21 countries by the end of 2023,

New broadcasters on board include AMC Networks International Southern Europe, RTP2, NPO, Yle, Stod 2, TV5 and Viaplay.

The title, currently being filmed in Stockholm, joins a slate of other Swedish originals.
