European fiction dominates adaptations in TV and SVOD, driving local content growth
In 2022, 88% of European TV and SVOD adaptations were based on local works, with novels accounting for 42% of source material. France, Germany, and Italy each saw over 80% of their adaptations drawn from domestic IP.
