Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Banijay, announced UK public broadcaster the BBC has pre-bought the second series of landmark historical drama “Marie Antoinette.”
All four seasons of the comedy-drama, produced by Kay Mellor’s Rollem Productions in association with Tiger Aspect Productions and Yorkshire Television, were acquired by the service.
Banijay Rights announced that ITV in the UK has acquired “Bali 2002,” the new four-part drama that explores the everyday heroes directly impacted by the terrorist attacks on the Indonesian island 20 years ago.
Scheduled to debut on the channel and BBC iPlayer later this summer, the series is set in southern Sweden in the late 1980s and revolves around the real-life disappearance and subsequent murder of a 10-year-old girl.
The Crime/Civil rights series follow's Stewart's attempt to seek justice for high-profile police brutality cases. It was developed and directed by Eone's Madison Merritt.
