The show has been commissioned by ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill, and will premiere on ITV’s brand new, free streaming service ITVX in 2023 before transferring to linear transmission months later.
The show will make its debut on Channel 4 in the UK and play exclusively on HBO Max in the United States. The five-part drama also heads to Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and Australasia in early pre-sale deals.
The new level will see the highlighted producer to develop and produce premium drama for the UK and international market and International distribution for Shindler's new label will be handled by ITV Studios.
Replacing Nicola Shindler, who will now be the company's Chief Creative Officer, the former Entertainment One UK executive will join the company and report to group CEO, Anna Marsh, starting on April, 2020.
