Amy Winter
Lifetime has named former UPTv executive Amy Winter as Executive Vice President, Head of Programming. In this role, she will oversee the development, creation and execution of all programming for the network, including movies, scripted and unscripted for Lifetime and LMN. Based in New York, Winter starts this March and will report to Rob Sharenow, President of Programming for A+E Networks.
Winter was most recently EVP and General Manager at UPtv, where she brought the network its highest rated original series ever in “Bringing Up Bates,” along with reality formats such as the self-shot series “Expecting”. Prior to that, she was EVP and GM at Discovery owned TLC.
“I’ve long admired Amy and all of the success she’s had throughout her career and I’m excited to see her bring her vision to Lifetime and LMN,” Sharenow said in a statement. “Amy’s strategic and creative experience defining brands, coupled with her uncanny ability to spot breakthrough hits, makes her an exciting addition to the A+E Networks programming team,” he added.
“All through my career I have watched and admired the Lifetime brands and content. I am delighted to join a highly talented team and look forward to growing these already successful networks,” Winter commented.
