BBC Studios announced the launch of BBC First linear channel with Orange Moldova, one of the major operators in the CEE region, marking the premium British drama channel's debut in the market. BBC First joins already present on the platform BBC News channel, and it is now available to all subscribers of their digital cable TV service.

The channel debuts with a selection of critically acclaimed and popular dramas. These include Britain’s longest-running crime drama “Silent Witness,” which returns with an explosive 25th anniversary series from June 13, and a multi-award winning “The Kettering Incident,” a mysterious crime drama that has been recognized for its compelling storytelling and outstanding performance of the leading actress, Elizabeth Debicki, from June 17. All programming will be available in English with Romanian subtitles.

The channel has recently also been launched in Albania with Vodafone, where it is available to subscribers alongside BBC Earth.
