GMA Network to air the new romantic drama “The Seed of Love” on May

This new unconventional love story is starring by Glaiza de Castro and highly-talented leading man Mike Tan and will debut on May 8 in the Philippines.

GMA Network will air its new romantic drama “The Seed of Love” on May 8 in the afternoon slot. This new intense and gripping tale of love and revenge is bannered by "Sparkle" prime actress Glaiza de Castro and highly-talented leading man Mike Tan. Playing important roles are dramatic actress Valerie Concepcion and well-rounded actor Boy2 Quizon.

“The Seed of Love” follows the story of Bobby (Mike) who decides to have his sperm frozen due to cancer scare. He has been in a long, tedious relationship with a bratty socialite Alexa (Valerie) until Bobby finally breaks up with her. Later on, Bobby meets the optimistic and doting Eileen (Glaiza). Their love blossoms and soon, the two get married. Bobby and Eileen agree to have their child via in-vitro fertilization using his preserved sperm cell. But Alexa will do everything to destroy the couple and win her ex-boyfriend back.

Starring in this daring and intriguing series are Alan Paule; Bernadette Allyson; Tina Paner; Ervic Vijandre; Ashley Rivera; and Yanna Asistio. “The Seed of Love” is an original concept of RJ Nuevas and Nehemiarey Debad Dallego. The show is made possible under the supervision of GMA SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable; VP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy; AVP for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria; Senior Program Manager Redgynn S. Alba; and Executive Producer Michele Robles Borja.

The creative team behind this drama is composed of Creative Director Aloy Adlawan; Creative Head for Afternoon Prime Dode Cruz; Creative Consultant Denoy Navarro-Punio; Head Writer RJ Nuevas; and Writers Ken De Leon, Nehemiarey Debad Dallego, Benjamin Benson Logronio.

NEW PRIMETIME SERIES

The first-ever live-action adaptation of the phenomenal Japanese ‘70s anime "Voltes V" finally makes its highly-anticipated premiere on GMA Telebabad this May 8. “Voltes V: Legacy” is headlined by Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho and follows the story of three brothers – Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon and their friends Jamie and Mark – as they fight together the evil Boazanian forces who plan to invade Earth and launch their beast fighters all over the world.

Ysabel Ortega said, “We’re all fans of Hollywood movies with high quality ang graphics and 'Voltes V: Legacy' is like that. Except the fact that it’s made entirely in the Philippines. It’s something to be proud of and curious about.”

“Voltes V: Legacy” is touted to be the Network’s most expensive and biggest TV production to date. "It was a long, complex, pandemic-stricken challenge for everyone involved, but I can proudly say that the whole team succeeded with a 100% Pinoy-made production that will entertain audiences not only locally, but also globally,” added director Mark Reyes.

The live action series is produced by GMA Network in partnership with Toei Company. and Telesuccess Productions. Acclaimed local animators from GMA’s Post Video Graphics and Audio team and Riot Inc. handled the program’s heavy CGI and other visual effects.
