"Her Name Was Carolina"
GMA Network’s newest crime‑mystery drama "Her Name Was Carolina", officially premiered on June 30, immediately drawing both emotional and critical attention for its compelling storyline and strong performances. According to Nielsen NUTAM TV Household Ratings, the pilot episode registered a 9.6% rating with 63.1% audience share.
The new series is top-billed by Andrea Torres, Benjamin Alves, and Lianne Valentin. Torres portrays Carolina “Carol” Astor, a woman forced to abandon her identity and assume a new one as Lorena Herrera after being wrongfully accused of a crime she didn’t commit. Believed to have vanished without a trace, Carolina buried her past, embraced a new life, and started a family with Wilfred—unaware that he was the widower of Joi, the very woman whose death would come to haunt them both.
Now, imprisoned and disgraced, Lorena loses everything. But after her release, she uncovers a darker truth: Joi was murdered by Wilfred. Lorena must fight for justice and protect her daughter before the past destroys them all.
