Last night, the final episode of “I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! Australia” aired on Network 10 and wrapped up a fantastic seventh season. In detail, more than 1 million viewers watched the finale, scoring a 35.2% total commercial share and 40.9% market share in the key demo (20-54), both the highest shares ever.
The final episode was also the biggest live stream episode ever. The limitations because of Covid-19 certainly did not hold the hit show down, making this season the number one show in all key demographics in 2021 for the Australian channel.
Recently, in the UK, the “I’m A Celebrity Castle” version also wrapped up an incredible season, where the overall overnight series averaged 8.7 million viewers and a 42.2% market share, a growth of 1 million viewers and 3 share points on the 2019 series.
Following this massive success in the UK, ITV Studios created an European hub location. An imposing, medieval castle in Poland offers endless possibilities for a castle version of this hit format. The impressive terrain is the perfect backdrop for terrifying trials and gruelling challenges. The hub provides a complete package: just fly in, plug and play. First options have been taken by several interested countries.
