ITV'S "BEAT THE CHASERS" HAD A STRONG START IN THE NETHERLANDS AND UK

The quiz show was watched by more than 1 million viewers on RTL 4 and by more than 4 million viewers in ITV in its second season.

ITV Studios’ hit quiz show "Beat The Chasers" launched in the Netherlands it definitely drew attention in the prime time slot on RTL 4. The first episode, locally titled "Beat The Champions", was watched by more than 1 million viewers, scoring an impressive 15.5% market share in the key demo (25-54), outperforming the slot average by 16.5%. "Beat The Champions" is produced by ITV Studios Netherlands.

Where the Dutch viewers have only just been introduced to the hit format, in the UK the second season kicked off last Sunday night. Watched by more than 4 million viewers, the thrilling show scored a market share of 22,6% in the key demo. These stellar ratings foreshadow another successful season for "Beat The Chasers" in the UK, keeping the British viewers on the tip of their chair each night this week.

In its first season in the UK, “Beat The Chasers” was a huge hit when it aired on the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster ITV, increasing its slot average by 68%. With an average of 6.4 million viewers and a 25% audience share, it fought off all competition in the 9 pm slot. The series proved successful among young viewers too and was watched by an average of 24.6% of 16-34-year-old viewers.
