TelevisaUnivision appoints two new executives to Univision's ad sales team

The two additions, Rob McGovern and Richard Bertodatti, will serve as Senior Vice President of Multimedia Sales and Senior Vice President of Multimedia and Audience Sales, respectively.

TelevisaUnivision Inc. recently hired two executives to Univision’s ad sales team to further accelerate its U.S. growth plans. Rob McGovern will now serve as Senior Vice President of Multimedia Sales. At the same time, Richard Bertodatti contributes as Senior Vice President of Multimedia and Audience Sales.“These new senior leaders will contribute to the evolution and transformation of Univision’s ad sales business to showcase brands the unique opportunity to grow with us,” said John Kozack, Executive Vice President, Multimedia Sales. “I’m confident Rob and Richard will help us continue to be at the forefront of conversations with marketers on the power of Hispanic audiences across platforms, ensuring brands see Univision as their ultimate growth partner in the U.S.”

McGovern will oversee all West Coast National Sales efforts and all sale transactions made in the region. Similarly, Bertodatti will run Univision's multimedia sales teams alongside  Publicis, IPG, Havas, and the Boston territory, among other agencies, to further advance the network's advertising sales capabilities. Both executives will report to Executive Vice President of Multimedia Sales, John Kozack. 

Before joining the company, McGovern worked as SVP, National Sales & Client Partnerships at Outfront Media. He led West Coast national ad sales and the development of revenue growth strategies to drive new OOH business. Throughout his 25-year career in the media sales industry, he also garnered experience at WarnerMedia and Discovery. 

Bertodatti previously worked at Facebook, where he was Director of Global Investment Programs, focused on video and sponsorship opportunities. Previously, he spent six years at ViacomCBS as VP ViacomCBS Vantage to build and drive the data advertising sales and strategy team. He was VP for Nickelodeon 360, where he executed sales and marketing solutions for the popular kids and family suite of networks and platforms. The executive also contributed to NBCUniversal, Conde Nast Entertainment, and Google. 

Serving a significant portion of the US Hispanic community, made up of 62 million, 20% of the total U.S population, Univision continues to outperform various other English-language broadcast networks in the region. As it continues to report double-digit growth, it seeks to improve its advertising strategies, leverage data, and analytics, and attract more revenue for clients.
