The change comes as a result of the French government’s recent decision to host the 2026 G7 Summit in the Haute-Savoie region—where Annecy is located—during the same week the festival was initially scheduled.
This year’s edition was defined by both its artistic depth and industry impact. Held in a sweltering but festive atmosphere, the Festival featured world premieres, high-profile guests, and a packed slate of screenings and panels.
The project, currently in production, is a co-production between Atom Art (Latvia), Letko (Poland) and Hausboot (Czech Republic). Additionally, the Dandelooo Cinema has secured several pre-sales for the title across Europe.
Over 30 delegates and more than 30 films from Central and Eastern Europe will be featured at Annecy 2025, including seven new projects pitched at MIFA and two former CEE Animation Forum titles in the official selection.
