Miraculous Corp — the joint venture formed just over a year ago between Mediawan, Europe’s leading independent production powerhouse, and ZAG, founded by creative visionary Jeremy Zag — has unveiled the creative team behind its upcoming global theatrical “Miraculous” animated feature. The film brings together acclaimed producer John Cohen and celebrated writer Matt Roller, working alongside Jeremy Zag, who will also serve as a producer. The feature aims to deliver a bold cinematic adventure that captures the heart and spectacle of beloved superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir. The announcement was made by Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations, as the brand celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Since its debut in 2015, “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir” has become one of the most successful animated franchises in the world. It follows Marinette and Adrien, two Parisian teenagers chosen to wield magical powers and protect their city from supervillains. Blending the style and storytelling of Japanese anime with themes of action, romance, and humor, the series has become a benchmark for values-driven entertainment that explores courage, resilience, and identity.
The “Miraculous” brand has built a vast global digital ecosystem, accumulating over 48 billion views on YouTube and more than 43 million subscribers across 31 localized channels. On TikTok, the brand has surpassed 1 billion views, and across all platforms—including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok—it now engages a community of more than 56 million followers.
Jeremy Zag and Pierre-Antoine Capton highlighted the shared vision: “We are incredibly proud to open a new chapter for Miraculous Corp, and to see our ambition come to life on the big screen with a feature film. United by a shared vision, we are dedicated to bringing Miraculous to a global audience and further developing this exceptional franchise by exploring new creative frontiers and producing ambitious projects led by top talent and driven by the passion of our creative teams. We are delighted to welcome John Cohen and Matt Roller into Miraculous Corp, who will join us in taking Ladybug and Cat Noir to new heights and enchanting audiences around the world," noted.
Finally, Yeatman praised the enduring relevance of the characters: “For a decade, Ladybug and Cat Noir have inspired millions through stories that celebrate courage, friendship, and compassion—qualities the world needs now more than ever,” “John’s extraordinary record of delivering global animated hits and Matt’s rare gift for blending heart, humor, and imagination will ensure our film not only thrills audiences but also deepens their connection to these beloved heroes. With Jeremy Zag’s guiding vision as a producer, fans can trust that the heart of Miraculous will shine brighter than ever," commented.
