Among the highlights are internationally recognized hits and festival favorites such as "Beartown" from Sweden, "Beforeigners" from Norway, "Foodie Love" from Spain, "Kamikaze" from Denmark, "Still Here" from Poland, "Success" from Croatia, and "The Informant" from Hungary—a lineup that blends powerful local narratives with universal appeal.

Vanda Rapti, EVP Viaplay Select & Content Distribution at Viaplay Content Distribution described the slate:We’re proud to be working with SkyShowtime to bring some of Europe’s most creative talent and compelling stories to even more audiences around the world,”  “From festival-winning dramas to bold new voices, these series have already proven their quality at home. Now we’re excited to bring them to international buyers seeking premium content with global appeal," stated.

Let’s first take a look at Drama, Crime, Thriller & Action. From Cold War intrigue to cybercrime and small-town scandal, these gripping dramas explore themes of power, identity, and survival across Europe. "Beartown" from Sweden is a powerful drama about a small town shattered by scandal, adapted from an internationally bestselling novel. Norway’s "Beforeigners" Seasons 1 and 2 presents a high-concept time-travel thriller exploring what happens when the past collides with the present. Meanwhile, "Hackerville," a German-Romanian co-production, is a cyber-crime thriller in which a German investigator clashes with Romanian hackers, blending digital warfare with family secrets. Denmark’s "Kamikaze" follows a bold, cinematic coming-of-age journey and won Best Actress at Series Mania. Croatia contributes "Success," a gripping character-driven thriller created by Oscar-winning director Danis Tanović, while Hungary’s "The Informant" delivers a tense Cold War spy drama that won Best TV Series at the Hungarian Motion Picture Awards. Finally, the Czech Republic’s "The Sleepers" is a taut Cold War spy drama set during the Velvet Revolution.

“Next, let’s go over Drama, Comedy & Romance. From quirky comedies to intimate relationship dramas, these titles offer fresh perspectives on love, identity, and modern life. Spain’s "Foodie Love," directed by award-winning auteur Isabel Coixet, is an intimate romantic drama, while Sweden’s "Lust" is a bold dramedy exploring friendship, female desire, and midlife reinvention. Also from Spain, "Dafne and the Rest" presents a fresh, queer-identity comedy-drama, and "No Activity" is a witty crime-comedy adapted from the hit Australian format. "One Way or Another," another Spanish production, offers a heartfelt comedy about friendship and belonging in Madrid. Romania contributes "Ruxx," a sharp, character-driven drama about love, work, and modern life in Bucharest, alongside "Tuff Money," a darkly comic heist drama in which two ordinary men are roped into the robbery of the century. From Poland, "Still Here" is a wry comedy-drama exploring love, loss, and finding meaning in middle age, while Slovakia’s "The Winner" is a political dramedy about a former prime minister juggling power games, family turmoil, and life after office. Norway’s "Welcome to Utmark" completes the selection as a quirky dark comedy set in a remote Nordic town full of eccentric locals, love, and betrayal.

Finally, let’s take a look at Documentary, Travel & True Crime. Viaplay’s documentary slate offers real stories with emotional depth and cultural insight, ranging from chilling true crime to heartwarming travelogues. Sweden’s "Pray, Obey, Kill" is a chilling true-crime docuseries uncovering a small-town cult murder that shocked the nation and drew global attention. From the Czech Republic, "Czech It Out" is a heartwarming father-daughter travelogue that celebrates exploration and family bonds.
