SkyShowtime has unveiled a dynamic programming slate for the remainder of 2025, reinforcing its position as a leading pan-European streaming platform backed by Comcast and Paramount Global. The standout announcements highlight the platform’s commitment to both exclusive content and returning favorites, driven by established talent and diversified genres.
Reflecting on the lineup, Kai Finke, SkyShowtime’s Chief Content Officer, commented, “We’re excited to announce a host of Hollywood hits coming to SkyShowtime over the next few months, alongside some of the best of local storytelling. Whether it’s diving into the next instalment of hit series 'Tulsa King' from executive producer Taylor Sheridan, discovering award‑winning favourites such as 'Anora' and 'Wicked', or seeing your favourite local star headlining a brand‑new SkyShowtime original, we have an incredible line‑up of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.”
The much-anticipated second season of "Poker Face," created by Oscar-nominated Rian Johnson and fronted by Emmy-nominated Natasha Lyonne, will premiere on July 17. This high-stakes thriller follows the original’s hit formula and keeps viewers engaged. Just weeks later, on September 12, fans can look forward to "Dexter: Resurrection," starring Golden Globe and SAG winner Michael C. Hall, alongside Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage.
SkyShowtime’s ongoing alliance with Taylor Sheridan strengthens with back-to-back season launches: "Tulsa King," "Mayor of Kingstown," and "Landman," all scheduled for late 2025. These titles build on the success of Sheridan’s prior collaborations and remain key pillars in the platform’s growth strategy.
New original dramas are also in the mix. "All Her Fault," with Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning, offers a character-driven mystery, while "Atomic," starring Alfie Allen and Samira Wiley, blends action and adventure. "The Iris Affair" (Niamh Algar and Tom Hollander) and the comedic return of "Ted" round out a slate designed for broad appeal. Notably, subscriber favorites "The Paper"—a satirical mockumentary featuring Domhnall Gleeson—"Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy," and "The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey" reinforce the platform’s strength in edgy, conversation-driving non-fiction.
SkyShowtime is also leaning into nostalgia and comfort viewing with the June 20 debut of "The Office" and July 17 arrival of "Suits," followed by its spin-off "Suits LA" on August 28. These timeless series are key retention tools that complement newer, genre-diverse offerings.
Original content remains a strategic focus: locally produced series like "Arcadia," Polish thriller "Glina," Swedish drama "Where the Sun Always Shines," and the 2025 return of Nordic crime favorite "Veronika" diversify the platform’s European footprint.
Films also play a central role, with first-run titles such as "Nosferatu" (August 4), "Anora" (June 19), "Wicked" (July 6), and "The Brutalist" (August 30), complementing the platform's cinematic appeal and attracting varied demographics.
SkyShowtime’s expansion underscores its strategy to combine A-list international programming with original European productions, aiming to capture and retain subscribers across its 20+ European markets.
