All3Media sold “Trigger Point” across six continents

The company announced sales across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australasia and Africa.

All3Media International has announced that HTM’s high octane thriller “Trigger Point” has now sold across the regions of Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australasia and Africa. The series follows bomb disposal Expo Officers who risk their lives daily on "the long walk" towards danger. Following its return to ITV last month, the second series is ITV’s third highest rated show since January 2022, averaging 6.9 million viewers across ITVX and ITV1.

Season 2 has been acquired by CBC in Canada, which recently debuted the new series on its streaming platform, CBC Gem. Australian streamer Stan, DBS provider OSN in the Middle East and TVNZ in New Zealand have also returned for season 2. In EMEA, the second series premiered earlier this month on Spanish subscription platform Movistar Plus+, on CANAL+ in France and French speaking territories and is set to return to Dutch public broadcaster NPO. BritBox join as the series US partner, and additionally have recently launched the new series in South Africa.

Partners for season one also include Virgin Media in Ireland, RUV in Iceland, Disney+ in Portugal, CYPRUS BROADCASTING CORPORATION in Cyprus and Pro TV, which has licensed Trigger Point for a number of their channels in both Romania and Moldova, including PRO TV (Romania) and PRO TV Chișinău (Moldova). The first season has also been licensed to SVOD platform CMore covering Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden, HBO Latin America, BBC First, BBC’s premium SVOD service in a pan territory deal covering South Asia, Pumpkin Films in China and WOWOW in Japan.

Season 2 of HTM’s series follows Lana, back from secondment in Estonia, training Ukrainian bomb disposal teams, but has not yet returned to active duty. She is giving a routine talk to security officers from major financial institutions about the issues surrounding bomb centred terrorism, when there is a bomb attack in the heart of the city. Lana is closest to the incident, but is she ready to take it on?

Vicky McClure ("Without Sin"), returns as Lana "Wash" Washington. Other returning cast members include Nabil Elouahabi ("Blue Lights", "Unforgotten") as Hass, Eric Shango ("Suspicion") as Danny, Mark Stanley ("Happy Valley", "The Thief", "His Wife" and "The Canoe") as DI Thom Youngblood, Kerry Godliman ("After Life", "Whitstable Pearl") as Sonya Reeves, Kris Hitchen ("Four Lives") as John and Kevin Eldon ("Sanditon") as Jeff. It also features new cast members Natalie Simpson ("North Sea Connection", "Outlander") who plays DS Helen Morgan, Julian Ovenden ("Bridgerton") who plays Commander John Francis and Tomiwa Edun as Alex ("Young Wallander", "Trying").

The new six-part series has been written by Simon Ashdown ("Our House", "EastEnders)", Amanda Duke ("Treason"), Chris Brandon and Daniel Brierley. It was created by Daniel Brierley.
