Amazon MGM Studios announced plans to adapt a number of Audible Original podcasts for TV and film as part of a deal to co-develop and co-produce projects. The move includes the adaptation of podcasts including “The Prophecy”, “Hot White Heist”, “Nut Jobs”, “Oracle”, “Daniel X: Genesis” and “Words + Music and Breakthrough”.

These original podcasts have already engaged and entertained audiences and we look forward to developing a visual component to expand the storytelling.”
Randy McKinnon is attached to write supernatural thriller “The Prophecy”, which has been acquired by ABC Signature and Amazon MGM Studios as a one-hour drama series with Simpson Street, QCode and Station26 attached to produce. John Riggi and Adam Goldman are attached to adapt comedy “Hot White Heist” as a half-hour series with Broadway Video and Alan Cumming attached to produce alongside Amazon MGM Studios.

“Suits” duo Aaron Korsh and Rick Muirragui are behind heist drama “Nut Jobs”, which is in the works at MGM Television with Escape Artists attached to produce including executive producers Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and Jordan Edelstein; with Marc Fennell and Sony Music Podcasts exec producing. Canadian FBI psychic podcast “Oracle” is in the works as an hour-long drama with Amazon MGM Studios, Jordan Feiner and 3 Arts Entertainment attached to produce.
Julian Simpson is attached to write sci-fi series “Temporal” as a one-hour drama from Amazon MGM Studios, Storypunk and Low Spark Television. “Daniel X: Genesis”, based on James Patterson’s series, is in the works as a one-hour drama from Amazon MGM Studios and James Patterson Entertainment. Music doc series “Words + Music” is being lined up as a docuseries from The Kennedy/Marshall Company. Unscripted series Breakthrough is in the works from MGM Alternative and At Will Media, executive produced by The Chainsmokers.
