Atresplayer's "Dressed in Blue" original series reaches almost 20 countries

"Dressed in Blue," the original series from Atresplayer, the streaming platform of the Spanish multimedia company Atresmedia, is expanding its reach across Europe through an agreement with HBO Max. Currently, the content is available in nearly 20 countries, as it was added to Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, and others at the end of January. Atresmedia Televisión has produced it in collaboration with Suma Content. Montse García, Valeria Vegas, and Andrea H. Catalá are the series' executive producers; Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi are the fiction producers.

Its distributor, Atresmedia TV International Sales, has recently closed sales and distribution agreements in Africa and America, solidifying its international presence. That's not all: it's also available in Canada after its simultaneous release with Spain on the Crave platform (Bell Media), and it will soon be part of the lineup on the Swiss public broadcaster RTS Switzerland.

The sequel of "Veneno" follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, receiving a positive response worldwide, especially in the American market. "Vestidas de azul" (Dressed in Blue) begins two years after the death of Cristina Rodríguez, La Veneno. In this second part, Valeria returns to Valencia. She discovers the VHS of the documentary "Dressed in Blue," a film that narrates the experiences of six transgender individuals in Spain in the early 1980s. Additionally, the production will be part of the Berlinale, specifically in the Berlinale Series Market section, where its first episode will be screened on February 20 at 12:00 in the CinemaxX2 hall. It was precisely in this context that the journey of this production began when the first images of the series were presented in 2023.
