International production studio and rights business Blue Ant Studios and Titan1Studios jointly announced that they have partnered to co-develop a video game adapted from the animated YouTube series "Armadillo Avalanche.

Based on the animated IP created by Celeste Koon and produced by Blue Ant Studios, "Armadillo Avalanche" centers around a group of girls who face both real-world and supernatural challenges as they navigate tweenhood together through music, friendship, and monster fights. The series has resonated with its core audience thanks to its smart humor, emotionally grounded storytelling, kick-ass soundtrack, and creature-driven metaphors tied to personal growth. Building off the fandom inspired by the series, this next step in "Armadillo Avalanche"'s evolution meets viewers where they are—creating a universe for fans to engage with. Let’s take a closer look at each element of the game.

Originally launched as a series of award-nominated digital shorts, "Armadillo Avalanche" was produced with support from the Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund. The video game marks a strategic brand extension, expanding the franchise into interactive entertainment and supporting its ongoing transmedia growth.

The "Armadillo Avalanche" game brings a fresh twist to the rhythm-action genre, blending platforming, beat ’em up combat, and music-based mechanics. Players will take the stage as members of a tween girl rock band, fighting off monstrous creatures using powerful combos tied to guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. As players master their instruments, they’ll unlock musical abilities and high-impact power-ups—all designed to deliver fast-paced, expressive gameplay.

The game will feature co-op multiplayer for up to four players, each controlling a different band member with a distinct play style and musical role. Designed to appeal to fans of both action and music genres, the game is being developed as a genre-blending, tone-driven experience with broad player appeal.

AJ Trauth, VP Kids/Family, YA, and Animation at Blue Ant Studios praised the original title: “We’ve always loved how the heart of 'Armadillo Avalanche' lies in the girls’ friendship, and the way it comes alive through music. Bringing that energy into the gaming space is a dream. We’re so excited to team up with Titan1Studios to give fans a chance to play as the band, feel the rhythm, and connect with the story in an entirely new way," expressed.

Meanwhile, Rathan Moorthy, President & CEO of Titan1Studios, also commented on the partnership: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Blue Ant Studios on 'Armadillo Avalanche', an IP that aligns perfectly with our values. Its focus on mental health, brought to life by a wonderful cast of female characters and a dynamic musical journey, resonates deeply with our team. We're looking forward to bringing this vision to life using our innovative development tools, and creating an unforgettable experience for players," noted.

Toronto and Calgary-based Titan1Studios is known for their work in cross-media, including the "Spooky Magic Combat" title, the "Events at Unity Farm" (launched on Steam during Next Fest 2023), the "Welcome" animated series, and "Welcome: A Cozy Estuary", a video game slated for release in 2026. They are also behind "Love is a Roguelite" (or "LIAR"), a tactical turn-based deckbuilding game set to launch on Xbox and PC in 2027.

Finally, the "Armadillo Avalanche" video game is set to release on PC and console platforms in 2026. More details about its features and exact launch date will be announced in the coming months.
