Keeley Hawes to narrate original series “Airborne,” for Love Nature and Sky Nature

Love Nature and Sky Nature announced that actress Keeley Hawes is lending her voice to narrate “Airborne” (4x60’). Produced by Humble Bee Films, this four-part, tent-pole series offers an adventure into the wonderfully diverse world of creatures that fly, glide and leap through the air. The series follows a diverse array of charismatic creatures through their trials and triumphs. From great soaring condors to leaping lemurs, and from gliding squirrels to beautifully buzzing orchid bees —the series reveals unexpected and fascinating stories of animals who defy gravity and master the air around them in extraordinary ways.

Hawes' list of film and television credits includes leading roles in “Line of Duty” (2014-2018), “The Durrells” (2016-2019), “Bodyguard” (2018), “Stonehouse” (2023), “Ashes to Ashes” (2008) and a standout performance in Russell T Davies' hit “It’s a Sin” (2021). Most recently, she can be seen in Netflix’s “Scoop” (2024) as well as “Orphan Black: Echoes” (2024) for AMC and ITVX. Hawes' upcoming projects include “Miss Austen” for BBC1, and “The Assassin” for Amazon Prime. She has been nominated for three BAFTAs for her appearances in “Mrs. Wilson” (2018), “Line of Duty” (2014-2018) and for the leading role of Julia Montague in Jed Mercurio’s Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominated series “Bodyguard” (2018).

“Airborne,” produced by Humble Bee Films, will air on Sky Nature in the UK, Ireland and Italy and will roll out on Love Nature around the world. The series leverages Love Nature’s relationship with Blue Ant Studios, which oversees licensing opportunities for the new title in the U.S. and around the world outside of commissioning territories.

The series is executive produced by Charlotte Crosse and Stephen Dunleavy at Humble Bee Films. Kathryn Taylor and Gilberte Phanor are the executive producers for Sky Nature, and James Manfull executive produces the series on behalf of Love Nature.
