Agnès Judes has been named Director of Talent and Special Operations at Canal+, effective September 2025. She will report directly to Jean-Marc Juramie, Deputy Managing Director of Canal+ France in charge of Programs and Channels. The appointment reflects the company’s renewed commitment to fostering long-term partnerships with creative and on-screen talent as it continues to consolidate its brand as a premier destination for content innovation.
In her expanded role, Judes will lead a newly established unit tasked with identifying, nurturing, and promoting talent across the Canal+ ecosystem. According to the company, this initiative aims to “welcome, support, retain, identify, and promote the Talent of the Canal+ group, in close synergy with the relevant teams.” The move underscores Canal+’s strategic focus on talent development as a core pillar of its programming and channel operations.
For decades, Canal+ has been recognized as a launchpad for both established and emerging talent, cultivating careers across a range of entertainment formats. “Canal+ has always been a home for creativity and Talent,” the company stated. “Many have launched their careers on its channels, and numerous others have been supported throughout their journeys, growing alongside Canal+ over the years. This historic bond is a major asset that the group aims to strengthen and enrich.”
Judes will also retain her responsibilities as Director of Special Operations, a position she has held since 2021. In that role, she has overseen high-profile initiatives including the broadcast of the César Awards Ceremony, as well as Canal+ coverage of marquee cultural events such as the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival, and CANNESERIES.
Having joined Canal+ in 2003 as a Program Advisor, Judes was promoted to Head of Programming in 2008, where she played a key role in shaping a number of the network’s signature shows including "Le Grand Journal", "Le Petit Journal", "La Nouvelle Édition", "Le Supplément", and "Groland". She holds a degree in Modern Literature from Paris IV-Sorbonne and a Master’s in Media Management from Sciences Po Paris.
With this appointment, Canal+ is doubling down on its strategy to deepen engagement with the talent community and ensure that the brand remains synonymous with creative excellence in France and beyond.
