Carlos Garde takes on the role of General Manager at Onza

Almost ten years after its founding, Onza made changes to his team to stimulate a new period of growth: Carlos Garde assumed the role of General Manager of the production company after three years at the helm of Onza Distribution, while Carlos Rodríguez joined the Legal & Business Affairs department, and Béatrice Nouh was named Sales Director of Onza Distribution.

“In recent years we have experienced a significant increase in Onza’s business. Therefore, we decided to strengthen the workforce by both promoting internal talent and bringing in new professionals with extensive experience in the sector,”  explained Gonzalo Sagardía, CEO of Onza.

Carlos Garde joined in 2019 as the Director of Onza Distribution. Throughout this time, the executive has been the driving force behind Onza’s presence on all international markets and has sealed large distribution agreements with the industry’s top players, leading the distribution company to record sales and profits in 2022.

“It is with great excitement that I take on the challenge of continuing to drive the growth of Onza, a production company with a great team and ambitious international expansion projects. I am convinced that our productions will position Onza as one of the sector’s leading content creators,”  said Garde, who will work alongside Sagardía to continue promoting the growth of the production company both in Spain and in the United States and Latin America.

Onza is also expanding its team by bringing Carlos Rodríguez into the Legal & Business Affairs department. Previously, Rodríguez formed part of NBCUniversal as Senior Legal and Compliance Counsel in the International Networks division. Rodríguez also has experience on the legal teams at Universal Music and Zeppelin TV.

Lastly, Béatrice Nouh was named Onza Distribution's new Head of Sales. Joining Onza from The Mediapro Studio Distribution, where she worked as Sales Manager for Europe, Nouh has extensive experience in the sector with leading distributors in France and Spain, such as Lagardère Studios Distribution, currently part of Mediawan.
