TelevisaUnivision hosted an exclusive semi-final judging round of the 2022 International Emmy Awards in Miami on August 23. The program kicked off with a ViX “orange carpet” reception on August 22, in honor of TelevisaUnivision’s new streaming service, hosted by President of TelevisaUnivision & Chief Transformation Officer, Pierluigi Gazzolo.

The invitees included global media and entertainment leaders, talent, and top TelevisaUnivision executives. The official screening and judging process required a full day of content screening and a final scoring session. The expert judges were Adrian Santucho (360Powwow), Constanza Cagliolo (Freemantle), Fernando Gaston (ViacomCBS International Studios), Gonzalo Sagardia (Onza), Ignacio Meyer and Flavia Vigio (TelevisaUnivision), Julian Rousso (Anima), and Zeynep Peker and Can Peker (SOHO Formats).

Last week, the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 2022 News & Current Affairs categories. The International Emmy winners will be recognized alongside their American news peers during a ceremony in New York City on September 28. The eight nominees span six countries: Brazil, France, Germany, Nigeria, Qatar, and the United Kingdom.
