The renowned Franco-Mexican actress Angelique Boyer and seasoned industry executive Pierluigi Gazzolo have been named co-chairs of the jury for the 2026 edition of the Rose d’Or Latinos awards, which will return to Miami in January for its third edition. The duo replaces Marcos Santana, who chaired the jury for the first two editions and now assumes the role of honorary president, continuing his support for the awards and joining the advisory board.
Pierluigi Gazzolo, one of the most respected executives in the Spanish-speaking industry, will serve as jury co-chair. With nearly 30 years of experience in the sector, he recently concluded a successful tenure at TelevisaUnivision, where he led the launch of ViX, turning it into the leading Spanish-language streaming platform in record time. Previously, he had an extensive career at Paramount (formerly ViacomCBS), where he held numerous key positions, including International President of Streaming and Studios.
“I am very proud to be part of such a prestigious award as the Rose d’Or Latinos,” said Gazzolo. “Throughout my career, my mission has always been to grow and highlight the great Spanish-speaking talent. The Rose d’Or Latinos shares this same mission by valuing the best Ibero-American talent and content and, as a result, growing our industry. I’m also delighted to share this role with Angelique Boyer, a talent who has become an icon of our great Spanish-language content. I’m happy to have the opportunity to work with her again, just as we have in the past,” Gazzolo added.
“It is an honor and a responsibility to take on this role as jury co-chair of the Rose d’Or Latinos, to help drive and highlight television creativity throughout Ibero-America. These awards not only celebrate excellence, but also shine a light on the talent, diversity, and cultural richness of our region. As an actress, I am proud to contribute to this process, recognizing works that inspire, move, and reflect who we are. I am convinced that the future of entertainment lies largely in our stories, which are conquering the world,” said Boyer. “It’s also a pleasure to reunite with Pierluigi in this role after our most recent collaboration on the original ViX series ‘El extraño retorno de Diana Salazar,’” she added.
Angelique Boyer is one of Mexico’s most popular actresses. With over 20 years of experience in television, theater, and soon cinema — as lead in the feature film Madres — she has won audiences over with projects such as Rebelde and Alma de hierro, and was the face of hit telenovelas including Teresa, Lo que la vida me robó, and Vencer el pasado. She recently starred in the original ViX series El extraño retorno de Diana Salazar and is preparing Doménica Montero.
Founded in 1961, the Rose d’Or is Europe’s most prestigious content award, recognizing the best television and audio programming worldwide. The Rose d’Or Latinos extended its mission to Ibero-America in 2024 and, in just two years, has become the region’s benchmark content industry award.
Boyer and Gazzolo will participate in the Rose d’Or Latinos 2026 Final Awards Gala, which will take place as part of Content Americas in Miami (January 19–22).
Marcos Santana, who led the jury in its first two editions, commented: “It has been a privilege to chair the jury for the first two editions of the Rose d’Or Latinos, a project born out of the desire to celebrate the best of Ibero-American talent, and which has quickly established itself as a benchmark of excellence and creativity in the industry. Witnessing the rapid growth of these awards and seeing how they have been embraced by creators, producers, and audiences on both sides of the Atlantic has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I now enthusiastically take on the role of honorary president and advisory board member, with a firm commitment to continue supporting this unique initiative. Our language, our diversity, and our stories have a transformative power the world needs to know, and the Rose d’Or Latinos will continue to be a key platform to showcase that narrative strength. My deepest thanks to the entire team and to those who will continue leading this path with passion and vision.”
The Rose d’Or Latinos has just opened entries for its 2026 edition, which will again recognize the best Spanish- and Portuguese-language content across 14 categories. Entries will remain open until October 6, 2025, and will accept content broadcast between July 1, 2024, and October 6, 2025.
The third edition of the Rose d’Or Latinos comes on the heels of the success of its latest call for entries, where nearly 300 titles from Latin America, US Hispanic, Spain, and Portugal competed for gold.
