First look images have been released for "In Flight", the compelling new crime-thriller series that follows a flight attendant whose life is turned upside down when she is blackmailed into drug smuggling after her son is imprisoned in Bulgaria for a murder he insists he did not commit.

Executive producers include Anna Burns, Richard Tulk-Hart, and Tony Wood for Buccaneer; Rebecca Dundon and Simon Judd for Fremantle; as well as Mike Walden, Adam Randall, Katherine Kelly, and Chris Baugh. ProSieben has pre-bought the series for Germany, alongside SBS for Australia and TVNZ for New Zealand. Fremantle is handling global sales.

Set to launch later this year, "In Flight" is a high-octane 6x60’ drama series produced by Buccaneer Media ("The Crow Girl", "Marcella", "The Burning Girls"), written and co-created by Mike Walden ("Marcella", "Whitstable Pearl") and Adam Randall ("Slow Horses", "iBoy"), produced by Brendan Mullin ("Wreck", "Dalgliesh"), and directed by Chris Baugh ("Wreck", "Tin Star").

The first look introduces award-winning actress Katherine Kelly ("Mr Bates vs the Post Office", "The Long Shadow", "Happy Valley") as Jo Conran, a single mum and flight attendant. Stuart Martin ("Rebel Moon", "Miss Scarlet and The Duke") plays Cormac, a senior figure in the criminal gang that coerces Jo into smuggling drugs. Ashley Thomas ("Them", "Top Boy") stars as Dom Delaney, Jo’s ex and a customs officer.

As Jo becomes ensnared in the murky underworld of corruption and contract killers, she’s forced to follow their orders while desperately searching for a way out. She turns to Dom for help—but no matter how far she drifts from her former life, her mission remains the same: to keep her son alive. Set against the fast-paced, high-pressure backdrop of international air travel, "In Flight" charts Jo’s relentless quest to protect her family while becoming increasingly entangled in a dangerous criminal syndicate.

This captivating, high-stakes series spans dynamic global locations—including Bangkok, Bulgaria, Istanbul, and London—with principal photography taking place in Belfast earlier this year, supported by Northern Ireland Screen
