Charles Tremayne has taken on the prompt launch of First Story Productions, created in collaboration with Cineflix Media. Based out of New York, Tremayne will have oversight of the production studio with Caroline Grist, who will serve as Development Executive. “Cineflix Media continues to expand its community of talented creatives through this collaboration with First Story Productions,"  Glen Salzman, Co-Founder, and Co-CEO, Cineflix Media Inc. said. "We are very pleased to be partnering with Charles to launch his new company, which is already enjoying success, and we are delighted that he is continuing as Chair of the Cineflix Content Group.”

The new production company will specialize with the development and production of premium factual and scripted content based on true stories, as well as TV movies for audiences all over the world. Tremayne has several projects set up with networks including Lifetime, National Geographic International, Discovery Science, and Syfy. He is also working alongside writer and showrunner Ric Burns on the development of a limited scripted series—Donner Party—for the History Channel.

The partnership gives Cineflix Media first-hand access to content produced by Tremayne. The Cineflix Productions team, under the leadership of J.C. Mills, President, and Commercial Director, will provide services and development support on Tremayne’s projects. Cineflix will be responsible for globally distributing First Story Productions content. “I am excited to be partnering with Cineflix Media on the launch of First Story Productions and to be able to focus solely on the projects that I really love—strong, personal true stories that reveal a bigger truth," Charles Tremayne, Founder of First Story Productions said. "There has never been more opportunity to tell these stories, and so many ways to present them to a new generation of viewers.”

The move was made a year after Tremayne transitioned from his role as President of Cineflix Productions to the new role of Chair of the Cineflix Content Group. Caroline Grist made large contributions to the development of the investigative crime series "The Clown" and the "Candyman," "Children of the Snow," and "The Eleven," as well as the global franchise "Homicide: Hours to Kill," currently in its third season.
