Cineflix Media promotes Sam Berliner to General Counsel

Cineflix Media has promoted Sam Berliner to General Counsel. The change comes as the company continues its global expansion efforts. “Sam has been with the company for 16 years playing an integral role in our success, expanding our business operations internationally and creating thriving joint ventures and partnerships with leading talent in North America and Europe," Glen Salzman, Co-Founder and CEO, Cineflix Media said. "We’re thrilled that Sam is taking on this elevated position that will provide more strategic growth opportunities for the company.”

As General Counsel, Berliner will be working on key initiatives and negotiations across the Cineflix Media group, providing strategic advice and representing the company through its next phase of growth. Deemed a highly respected entertainment lawyer in Canada, Berliner has contributed to the general development of Cineflix. He previously served as EVP, Legal and Business Affairs for Cineflix Media. Before Cineflix, he was a partner at Heenan Blaikie for 20 years, specializing in entertainment law. 

Berliner will continue contributing to Cineflix Media group, which includes joint venture companies Buccaneer, Connect3 Media, Husk Media, and Shiny Screens Entertainment, as well as a growing sum of strategic partnerships through first-look deals and co-productions with a hub of producers from the US, UK, and Canada. Cineflix Rights offers a catalog of more than 5,500 hours of content to streamers, broadcasters, and digital platforms across the globe.
