25 YEARS OF SUCCESS
The sporty comedy features the friendship between a team of amateur hockey players from different walks of life, but the locker room is their mutual sanctuary. Together they face life’s challenges on and off the rink. They hang out, have fun, argue, complain, throw fists, and eventually hug and make up.
"The Boys" phenomenon has enjoyed unparalleled popularity and has left its mark on Quebec cinema forever. The franchise raised close to 25 million CAD at the box office during its commercial career, making it the biggest success story in Quebec cinema of all the time. Furthermore, "The Boys" is the only film that surpassed the "Titanic" movie when it was released in Quebec and received 3 Golden Reel Awards for “Best Canadian Box Office Ticket Sales” in 1998, 1999, and 2002.
Sold as a format, "The Boys" continues to score many goals as it can easily be adapted to any team sports. It is an engaging and entertaining concept about universal themes such as friendship, life, love, sport, and beer.
