DISNEY, AMC, AND DR PICK UP MEDIAWAN'S “MOLOCH” THRILLER

After being awarded best screenplay at Canneseries in 2020 followed by its broadcast on Arte in October 2020, Mediawan Rights' fantasy thriller "Moloch" is now attracting prestigious and selective foreign broadcasters. Disney France has acquired the program as part of the launch of its new "Star" world, integrated into Disney+ while AMC Networks recently bought the series for their Sundance Now streaming service and will premiere it in June 2021 exclusively in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. On the other hand, DR ("The Killing", "Borgen") has acquired the mini-series for Denmark. The thriller is a production of Calt Studio, Arte and Belga Productions.

"Moloch" (6x52'') takes place in an industrial and labyrinthine seaside town, where strangers suddenly burst into flames for no apparent reason. To uncover the truth, Louise, an ambitious and troubled young journalist, and Gabriel, a grief-stricken psychiatrist, undertake the investigation. Shortly after, on the city walls, six letters in fire, "Moloch", appear in the form of a signature.
