Mediawan Rights' Italian doc “Dario Argento Panico” selected as Venice classics

Mediawan Rights is strengthening its cinema line-up with the feature documentary "Dario Argento Panico" selected as part of the Venice Classics. The documentary’s worldwide premiere will be during the Venice Film Festival.

"Dario Argento Panico" takes the audience on an exclusive and immersive journey through the life and legacy of the legendary Italian filmmaker, revealing his profound impact on horror and his lasting influence on cinema for generations. The documentary, built around archives, film extracts and exclusive interviews from renowned directors Gaspar Noé, Guillermo del Toro, and Nicolas Winding Refn, follows the legendary film director in his final writing process while preparing what he called to be his last film.

"Dario Argento Panico" has already been sold to the horror platform, Shudder (USA, Canada, Latin America, UK, Spain, Portugal and Australia) and to the distributor Non-Stop for Scandinavia. It is distributed in Italy by Plaion.

After "Nuclear Now" and "Godard Cinema", Mediawan Rights will be once again at the Venice Film Festival with this new feature documentary showing the strength of its line-up.

Indeed, unveiled at 2022 Venice Film Festival (out of competition), the documentary Nuclear Now directed by Oliver Stone is being distributed by Mediawan Rights around the world: in Spain (Moviestar), Italy (I Wonder Pictures), Portugal (Zero em Comprtamento), Benelux (Amstel Films), Scandinavia (Non-Stop Entertainment), Romania (Transilvania Distribution), South Korea (Korea Telecom), Taiwan (Joint Entertainment) and Australia (Madman).

In the same way, since its selection as part of the Venice Classics in 2022, the documentary "Godard Cinema" has been expanding outside France. After being showcased at a dozen festivals around the world, it is now sold in the United States (Kinolorber), the United Kingdom (BFI Player), Portugal (Zero em comportamento), Spain (Filmin), Italy (Wanted), French-speaking Switzerland (Play Suisse), the Czech Republic (Film Europe), Finland (YLE), Poland (MayFly), Taiwan (Joint Entertainment) and Japan (Mimosa) by Mediawan Rights.
