Federation to globally distribute a new political comedy, "Under Control"

Produced by eminent film production company Ex Nihilo, the political comedy scheduled to air on ARTE, won best series award at series mania 2023.

Federation Studios has secured worldwide rights to the political comedy "Under Control," translated as "Sous Contrôle" for Arte. Produced by eminent film production company Ex Nihilo, "Under Control" was created by Charly Delwart, produced by Ex Nihilo, and written by Charly Delward in collaboration with Erwan Le Duc and Benjamin Charbit.The cast features French actress Léa Drucker, Samir Guesmi, and Laurent Stocker de la Comédie Française. In France, the series is scheduled to air on ARTE. Discussions are underway regarding further territories.

The six-part title received positive feedback from the public at Series Mania last week in Lille. The series won Best Series in the French category against strong and high-profile competitors, including two other series produced and distributed by Federation: "Bardot" and "Six Women." The title tells the story of Marie Tessier, the 45-year-old director of the NGO Doctors of the World, is appointed Secretary of State in charge of foreign affairs; five Europeans, including two French people, are taken hostage by terrorists in Sahel. Making it personal, Marie immediately goes rogue while striving to make it look like everything’s under control.

In addition to "Under Control," Federation presented two other series produced and distributed by the company. "Bardot," a series produced by Pascal Breton and Judith Rochelois and directed by Daniele Thompson and Christopher Thompson about French icon Brigitte Bardot, that sparked buzz at Series Mania; and SIX WOMEN, the heart-filling story of 6 extraordinary women on an unlikely hike. Actress Clementine Celarié won the Serie Mania award for Best Actress in French Competition for her remarkable acting performance in this series produced by Fanny Riedberger for Habanita Production, a federation label. "Under Control," "Bardot" and "Six Women" headline Federation’s slate of series to be launched this spring 2023.
