FREMANTLE NAMES VICTORIA ROYE HEAD OF TALENT DIVISION

The Channel 4 and BBC Studios alumni will oversee various freelance staffing labels such as Thames, Talkback and Naked, as well as the recruitment of potential UK talent.

Fremantle has appointed UK broadcaster Channel 4's Victoria Roye as head of its talent division. “Victoria has an exceptional eye for the best of both experienced and emerging talent not just in London but right across the UK,” Simon Andreae, CEO at Fremantle UK, said. 

Roye will have a say in freelance staffing across the company's labels, which include Thames, Talkback, and Naked. She will also oversee the recruitment of diverse talent for shows like“The Apprentice,” “Britain’s Got Talent,” “Grand Designs,” “Eating With My Ex,” “The Rap Game UK” and “I Can See Your Voice.”

Based in Manchester and London, Roye held two similar positions at Channel 4 and BBC Studios. Prior to that, she contributed to shows such as “Strictly Come Dancing,” “Dragons Den,” “Eurovision,” “Comic Relief,” “Children in Need” and “Mastermind.” “She’s positive, passionate, and will be a huge asset to all our production labels in seeking to secure, support, and retain the most skilled and collaborative production teams in the business,” Andrae said. 

She also founded TV Talent North, through which she helped recruit talent for C4, the BBC, ITV, Viacom, and 26 Indies amid the pandemic. “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Channel 4 and my drive for diversity and inclusion will continue to be at the front and center of all that I do in this new role,” Victoria Roye said.
