GFM ANIMATION REVEALS FIRST LOOK IMAGES FOR ANIMATED COMEDY "BLAZING SAMURAI"

Ahead of the European Film Market Aniventure & Align in association with HB Wink Animation and GFM Animation has released new imagery for the upcoming animated feature film "Blazing Samurai". The action-packed animated comedy for all the family is inspired by Mel Brooks’ timeless classic, "Blazing Saddles". The project is currently in production at Cinesite Montreal and is on schedule for delivery later this year.

"Blazing Samurai" follows the story of Hank, a loveable mutt with big dreams of becoming a Samurai. When he finds himself with a new job as sheriff of Kakamucho, he also finds he may have bitten off more than he can chew given the town is inhabited solely by cats. Produced by Disney’s "The Lion King" director, Rob Minkoff, and from the mind of comedy genius Mel Brooks, this Japanese-inspired animated comedy teaches kids and adults alike that embracing diversity is what truly makes you a hero. The voice cast includes Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais, George Takei, Michelle Yeoh, Djimon Hounsou and Mel Brooks.

GFM Animation is preparing for the forthcoming virtual edition of the European Film Market. "Blazing Samurai" will be shown within the EFM Screening schedule, with distributors invited to screen the current cut of the film.
