Globo signs partnership with Amazon Prime in Latin America

Globo's best-selling product in the international market, "Brazil Avenue", is now available on Prime Video for all countries in Latin America (except Brazil). Created by João Emanuel Carneiro, the production aired in prime time on TV Globo in 2012 and continues to be a phenomenon not only in Brazilian television: the work has already been licensed to more than 140 territories and nominated for the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela in 2013. 

Angela Colla, Head of International Business and Coproductions at Globo celebrated the deal: “We are very happy with the start of this partnership. ‘Brazil Avenue’, one of our most recognized telenovelas on the international market, will have even more visibility with Prime Video. It will be an opportunity for both the audience to revisit and reminisce about this storyline and these characters, as well as to introduce the telenovela to a new audience”, commented

The production tells the saga of a young orphan, Nina (Débora Falabella), in search of her justice. As a child, she lost everything after a scheme planned and executed by Carminha (Adriana Esteves), her stepmother. Years later, after building a new life, Nina finds herself ready to return to her roots and confront her enemy. The cast also includes Murilo Benício, Cauã Reymond, Marcos Caruso, and Eliane Giardini, among others.
