Inter Medya and Telemundo sign coproduction deal

Telemundo has confirmed a landmark co-production deal with industry-leading Turkish production and distribution company, Inter Medya, to further capitalize on the success of Turkish formats for Spanish-speaking audiences in the U.S. Under the multi-year agreement, the companies will co-develop and co-produce new long-form scripted Turkish series to later be aired exclusively on Telemundo in the United States. This agreement solidifies Telemundo as the Spanish-language home of audience favorite Turkish dramas and novelas with the most popular worldwide formats and franchises.

Working together with Telemundo, the companies will exclusively develop, create and produce long-form series based on new storylines that will appeal to Spanish-language audiences across the globe. Inter Medya continues to expand the Turkish TV and film industry to foreign markets in a stable and reliable manner by undertaking the international distribution of both the content supplied by other production companies and its own productions.

This agreement builds on Telemundo Studios long history of successful co-productions with leading producers of scripted content across the globe including Brazil’s Globo, Spain’s Movistar, Colombia’s Caracol and Sony Latin America, among others.
