ITV Studios' "Secret Spenders" was recommissioned for a second series in the UK

 ITV Studios announced that South Shore’s popular consumer format "Secret Spenders" has been recommissioned by Channel 4 for a full series to be broadcast in Spring of next year following a successful first season.“We are thrilled to be able to bring back this fun and informative financial format at a time when everyone in the UK really could do with some money saving tips," Caroline Davies, Executive Producer at South Shore, said.

"Secret Spenders" is locally produced by South Shore in Wales and distributed globally by ITV Studios. The title serves as a Nation's commission coming from South Shore's regional base in Cardiff. Adam Vandermark from Channel 4 handled the commission.

The title shows penny-stretching experts answer the call of families longing for a healthier relationship with money. Building on the success of the initial run, presenter Anita Rani will return to oversee the mischievous finance format which sees families' secret spending habits overhauled by a team of money saving experts. 

After revealing the eye-opening results, experts surprise the family with a financial action plan, introducing inexpensive products, cancelling long-neglected direct debits and slashing their bills – proving a penny saved, is a penny earned!
