Genius Brands International’s Kartoon Channel! has licensed the rights to children’s series “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures.” The acquisition from 41 Entertainment will be available in October. “Our mission in creating Kartoon Channel! has always been to deliver the best of the best in children’s entertainment, and we are excited to add these two series, featuring popular characters that are proven winners and that kids love,” Caroline Tyre, General Manager of Kartoon Channel!, said.

Kartoon Channel! is now accessible to over 100 million television households and over 200 million mobile devices. The service is compatible with IOS. Genius Brands will also premiere on Kartoon Channel! in Q1 2021 the upcoming comedy-adventure series, “Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten,” currently in pre-production and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The entertainment company acquired 26 20-minute episodes of “Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.” The series follows the daily activities of the classic video game character and his team, Cyli and Spiral. The group faces common challenges a teenager would face, all the while protecting PAC-World from a ghostly army named the Betrayus. The storyline was originally created in 1980 and quickly rose to fame in the video game industry and across all aspects of entertainment, attracting fans of all ages.

Genius Brands also obtained 26 episodes of “Adventures of “Sonic the Hedgehog,” based on the hit video game by Sega, starring the celebrity voice of Jaleel White of “Family Matters” fame. Sonic and his friend Tails are always up against their enemy, Dr. Robotnik, a few others, and their plans to conquer the planet of Mobius. The show aims to teach children about personal safety and interpersonal relationships. It features a short Public Service Announcement titled "Sonic Says" at the end of each episode.
