Keshet International annnounces sales for its docu-reality show "Bad Habits, Holy Orders" across multiple territories. The distributor plans to sell the show's finished tape to Hulu in the United States and licensing the format to Discovery in Italy. “'Bad Habits, Holy Orders'" is compelling viewing in any language because the transformational journey the girls and the nuns go on together is both warm and authentic," Keren Shahar, COO & President of Distribution for KI, said. "Edgy and entertaining series like this one from Crackit Productions are proving particularly popular with factual buyers around the world right now, both as finished tape and as a format.”

In the United States, KI has just completed a deal with Hulu that sees the US subscription video-on-demand service acquire the exclusive VOD rights for the show's finished tape.  The company's deal to license the show's format for Discovery in Italy coincides with its agreement in the US. The licensing will be done locally to produce the four 45-minute episodes as an Italian adaptation named "Ti Spedisco In Convento" for Discovery’s streaming platform and its Real Time channel. Filming is scheduled to take place before the end of this year.

KI has already licensed the format to NPO in the Netherlands and SBS in Belgium, where local adaptations are being produced and broadcast.  KI has also sold the finished tape of "Bad Habits, Holy Orders" to SBS in Belgium; DR in Denmark; Nelonen Media in Finland; Discovery in Italy; NPO in the Netherlands - for its Christian channel EO; TVN in Poland; and TVNZ in New Zealand; with other finished tape deals in negotiation.

Originally produced by Crackit Productions for Channel 5 in the UK, the 4-part docu-reality series sees a Catholic chuch accepts party girls in a bid to evangelize a more spiritual path to them. "Bad Habits, Holy Orders" follows the party-loving girls through their almighty experience. "Bad Habits is full of authenticity, warmth, and charm and gives these young women a chance to explore what really matters in life,"  Elaine Hackett, creative director at Crackit Productions, said. "It was a privilege to be granted access to the Catholic Church and the nuns were amazing, funny, and very knowledgeable. I’m sure audiences in all these territories will love the show and the fact that it offers a window into a very different world.”
