Leonine Studios appoint Benjamin Benedict to Wiedemann & Berg Television's management team

The executive will help lead the company alongside Oliver Vogel, Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg," beginning 1 November.

Leonine Studios has appointed Benjamin Benedict to its management team of W&B Television. 

"Benjamin, Max and I share a very collegial, friendly dialogue and we have always looked at Benjamin's work as a producer and manager with the utmost respect," Quirin Berg, Chief Production and Chief Creative Officer of Leonine Studios, said. "His close partnership with many of the best creatives, his focus on projects with exceptional quality, the range of his subjects and successes is extraordinary and makes him an absolutely outstanding figure in the film and series world. It’s a great honor and pleasure for us to now be able to tackle the enormous opportunities of our time together."

With his new role scheduled to take effect on 1 November, Benedict will tasked with overseeing all aspects of the company's operations alongside Oliver Vogel, Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg. "Wiedemann & Berg is an outstanding and pioneering company, repeatedly setting new benchmarks for successful storytelling. Their demand for quality and popularity as well as their artistic and commercial successes are impressive and very inspiring," Benedict commented.

Credited with being one of the most renowned producers in the German television industry, the executive worked at UFA Fiction as Head of High End Drama, Managing Director and Producer. His productions include award-winning TV events such as"The Tower," "Der Fall Jakob Von Metzler," "Redemptin Road," "Kruso," "Altes Land," Eldorado Kadewe," "Generation War," "Bornholmer Strasse," "Homevideo," "Auf Kurze Distanz," "Naked Among Wolves," the "Donna Leon," "Allmen" and "Eldorado Kadewe," "Generation War," "Bornholmer Strasse," "Homevideo," among others. "I've known Quirin and Max for over 15 years and really appreciate and admire their work and creativity. In spring of this year, we agreed on a future together," he continued. "I am thrilled to find a new home at Wiedemann & Berg and Leonine Studios and extremely excited to get new and special projects off the ground and join the great team at Wiedemann & Berg."
