Mediawan names Jude Liknaitzky Co-CEO of Drama Republic

Mediawan has confirmed Jude Liknaitzky, Chief Creative Officer & Executive Producer of Drama Republic's appointment as co-CEO alongside Roanna Benn.“We are thrilled to be taking the helm at Drama Republic. As co-collaborators we have aimed to make shows that have something vital to say about the human condition, as well as being gripping and entertaining, and that will be our ongoing mission," Jude and Roanna said.

Amid the modifications, current co-CEO Greg Brenman will assume the co-founder role and stay involved in the growth and development of Drama Republic. “As we celebrate 10 years of Drama Republic it feels like an optimum time to be taking the company into this new phase," Multi award-winning Greg Brenman said. "With Roanna and Jude as joint CEO’s I am confident that DR will go from strength to strength. I look forward to dedicating more time to a slate of diverse and exciting projects at Drama Republic.”

Roanna and Jude are currently in post-production for the TV adaptation of the bestselling novel "One Day" by David Nicholls for Netflix with the BAFTA Award-winning Nicole Taylor as the lead writer and showrunner. Together they developed and produced Bafta-nominated "My Mad Fat Diary" series 1 and 2 by Tom Bidwell, multi-award-winning "Doctor Foster" by Mike Bartlett, and Wanderlust by Nick Payne. "We are so fortunate to have long-standing relationships with writers we adore working with and we will be stepping out with new shows from them as well as with newer writers that we are very passionate about," Jude and Roanna continue. "Our other key mission will be to support our development and producing team as they grow through the industry, making shows of their own."
