Redknot, a joint venture between Nelvana and Discovery, has greenlit a second season of its series, "Agent Binky: Pets Of The Universe." '"Agent Binky: Pets Of The Universe' is a playful and imaginative series filled with witty, slapstick humor that has connected with audiences around the world,” said Pat Burns, Executive Manager at Redknot. “The new season will feature even higher stakes, more developed character arcs, and expansion into the P.U.R.S.T. world.”
Production for the 52 11-minute episodes begin in the Spring of 2021 and will launch on Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse in Canada and Discovery Kids in LATAM later next year. “Agent Binky: Pets Of The Universe” launched on Treehouse in Canada in September 2019, and rolled out internationally in Spring 2020. The series airs on Treehouse in Canada, Discovery Kids in LATAM, Cartoon Network in EMEA, TF1 in France, SRC in French Canada, SENYU in China, Mediacorp in Singapore, and True Thailand, and is set to launch on TVNZ in New Zealand and TV8 in Lithuania this Spring. "Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe" continues to garner strong ratings worldwide.
The first season was nominated for Kidscreen Awards’ Best New Preschool Series in 2020 among other awards.
