Nordisk Film TV to produce "Denmark's Queen - The Biggest Thank You"

The collaboration between major Danish broadcasters, DR and TV 2, the event will broadcast live on DR1 and TV 2 from Kongens Nytorv (King’s Square) in Copenhagen.

Nordisk Film TV has confirmed the production of live show titled "Denmark's Queen - The Biggest Thank You," a homage to the abdicating Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The collaboration between major Danish broadcasters, DR and TV 2, the event will broadcast live on DR1 and TV 2 from Kongens Nytorv (King’s Square) in Copenhagen.

With just 10 days’ pre-production, we’re pleased we’ve landed a remarkable line-up of big Danish, Greenlandic, and Faroese performers.”

Anticipated to be the largest event of its kind in Denmark, "Denmark's Queen - The Biggest Thank You" will be broadcast live on DR1 and TV 2. Nordisk Film TV Denmark produces across a range of genres from reality, factual entertainment, to current affairs and live shows. The company is known for All Against 1, Sold or Broken, and Home of the Year; large-scale live events like Together for Ukraine, as well as the current affairs shows Good Morning Denmark and Good Evening LIVE.

Following the unexpected announcement of Queen Margrethe's abdication in her New Year's speech, the event will gather everyone from the Danish Commonwealth of the Realm, showcasing what the Queen has meant as a unifying beacon for the past 52 years. The show is set to feature a diverse array of musical, artistic, and surprising gifts from the people of Denmark and the Commonwealth of the Realm to Queen Margrethe II.
