David Bittler, a longtime communications executive at Paramount and previously Viacom, is leaving the company after 25 years. His departure was confirmed in an internal memo circulated to employees on Tuesday. The exit comes shortly after Liza Burnett Fefferman, another Paramount EVP in Corporate Communications, also announced her resignation. Both departures follow Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance Media, which closed earlier this month.

Bittler most recently served as Executive Vice President of Communications for Paramount’s Kids & Family division, overseeing brands such as Nickelodeon. He played a key role in shaping Nickelodeon’s public image and strategy in the entertainment industry.

As part of the restructuring tied to the merger, Nickelodeon and other TV assets will now be overseen by CBS chief George Cheeks. The consolidation reflects broader organizational changes under Paramount’s new ownership. Bittler joined Viacom in 2000 and contributed to the launch of Logo, the first ad-supported TV channel targeting LGBTQ audiences. Over the course of his career, he also held key communications positions at MTV Networks and TNN, later known as Spike TV and now Paramount Network.
